Expanding Digital Health Through a Pan-European EHRxF-based Ecosystem

The XpanDH project is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) aimed at accelerating the adoption and implementation of the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) across Europe. By fostering a pan-European digital health ecosystem, the project ensures that healthcare providers, patients, and innovators can efficiently exchange health data, improving interoperability, patient care, and research opportunities.

XpanDH builds on previous EU-funded eHealth projects and adopts a “network-of-networks” approach, mobilizing key stakeholders and providing technical guidance and real-world examples to support the implementation of EEHRxF-based solutions. The project is structured around five main goals: developing technical specifications, establishing the X-Bundle Readiness model, testing real-world applications, fostering a digital health ecosystem, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

GNOMON plays a key role in developing and supporting the technical implementation of EEHRxF-based solutions, ensuring their practical adoption across various digital health ecosystems. As a technology partner, GNOMON contributes to refining interoperability frameworks, supporting the X-Bundle Readiness model, and engaging with healthcare stakeholders to drive real-world adoption. The company is actively involved in technical validation, capacity building, and providing expertise in digital health standardization, ensuring the scalability and sustainability of XpanDH outcomes.
